I'm baaaaaaaack!
Yes, due to the unpredecented level of demand from my loyal readers I've decided to come out of blogging semi-retirement and share my sparkling views with the world once more...
Ummmmmm...
Ok. So I lied...
Gary is the only one who has mentioned it in passing, the other day, when he asked when I was going to update my damn blog (latest in a long line of abandoned ones). So here I am. Gary are you there? Gary? Gary?!
Bugger.
Anyway. How's life for me you may well be thinking to yourselves. Or not. Well, I can see by my last post (last oct!!) I was in the middle of a health-kick... Surprise surprise I am currently in the middle of a health-kick (just not the same one). heh. Actually I am feeling quite pleased with myself at the moment because I've lost weight (only 1 and 1/2 stone from my goal weight!! or hours of work at the gym and no more nice food whichever way you want to put it). To be honest I am really enjoying it this time around. I think I have a better attitude. I'm not being too strict on myself so that way I don't feel guilty. No food is banned. Got a great book called The Japan Diet - recommended. it's all about eating more not less really. In fact I am probably not eating enough at the mo! (hard to believe I know!!). I just need to eat more frequently... Apparently 4 or 5 small meals are better than 3.
katty and I made sushi last night - it was a success! I ordered stuff from the Japan Centre in piccadilly - very reasonable indeed and great stuff. We tried to copy what we had at the hare and tortoise in bloomsbury a while back: smoked tofu (niiiiiice), avocado, kewpie mayo (niiiicer) and cucumber. I ordered a thin sushi mould for £1.95 and we had enough for lunch today for both of us. Irma at work was very impressed (she has been to Japan so I am flattered!). They tasted better today too as the seaweed had moistened. I'll try and put a pic up as I am proud! It wasn't too hard to make and very tasty, filling and good for you. (Helga: sponsored by the Japanese food board since 2007).
So we shall see... plan is to go back to the gym next week (where they will either a) not recognise me, b) tease me or c) not even notice). To be fair, as I have been paying each month (idiot!!) and haven't gone for a while I'm sure they couldn't give a stuff(ing ball).
Oh, well K is just getting off the phone from talking to her mum, so I'd best get on (and try not to sound so much like a 70 year old Yorkshire housewife). Lots of other stuff to catch up on, so good, some not so... bloody (lovely) flat still not fixed but will be soon (yeah, remember saying that in Oct!!), and then we can think about moving.
Ta Ra for now!

Hey, I have missed your posts as well! I just haven't mentioned it because I didn't want to nag. :-) I have both yours and Kat's blogs in my Bloglines Reader, so I know WITHIN THE HOUR when you have published a post. You are being watched!
Grats on the weight loss.
Diet sounds very interesting and tasty. Except the avocado (not too keen on that). Make me some sushi!
